Saturday morning we had to march in a parade with our costumes on. So we struggled into them one more time and headed off to the parade waiting grounds…
I have no pictures of parade because our camera man was slacking. But that’s okay I have another one of Big Bo Peep for you….please remind me never to wear a wig again……Many were seeing our outfits for the first time because of conflicting things going on during the costume contests, but those that had been at the contest repeatedly asked me if I had found my husband yet…. I had to tell them no I hadn’t, he stood me up at the alter and next year I would have my revenge.
After the parade we took one last tour of the valley so I could take a hundred more pictures of this magnificent place. We went to a place called Artist Palette.
Another glorious surprise for me. We wound through the mountains up and over and around to see such wonder.
The colors in this canyon were so vivid and the rocks were amazing. And then we came upon the palette.
I’m going to say again that Death Valley has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. I could just stare out at the mountains daily and breathe in the beauty.
It is on the must see list for everyone.
After this trip we started to pack up the RV for tomorrow morning when we leave this great Valley.
I will give you one more picture of this place.
These past 12 days, as have the past 7 weeks, been so much fun, being dressed in costume, the friendliness of all the people, the music, the art and just the atmosphere of it all I am so glad I have experienced it.
Until tomorrow,
Marie
