Day 46 through Day 49: Nov 15~Nov 18

We headed out of  Pahrump by 8:48am and headed up over the mountains back down to the Colorado River and Laughlin,Nevada.  This  was about a  3 hour trip, and my ears didn’t pop too badly the meds must have worked well.

We drove by and through Las Vegas again,  so you are seeing as much as I am.  I am sure that in one of my future trips out to the great south west I will get to see the Vegas Strip at night.  But I am happy with the drive by because I know that there is so much else still for me to see.
As we drove toward Laughlin the mountains were still as wonderful as they were a few weeks ago…

And the sky is just as blue, I have encountered the most wonderful weather this entire trip.  I hope when I get back to Massachusetts the nice weather comes with me.
After an uneventful trip we arrived at Laughlin.

Here are the casinos we had in view from our campsite where we stayed here last time.  We are staying in a place called Avi.

And yes it has a casino.  And yes I spend a few moments sitting at the machines…
The next few days are just for relaxing with friends.  We will head out again on Friday for one more site seeing tour of my trip so I will have new pictures and stories to tell.
I did pack up some of my stuff I have acquired while on this trip and mailed them home.  Only 7 boxes… I probably will ship one more home before I fly.  Thank heaven for “if it fits it ships for one flat rate"
It is very quiet and peaceful here and sitting outside enjoying the view and weather is wonderful.

I have been sewing some more on my quilt for my beautiful granddaughter Sophia.  It is almost done with the exception of the border.   I will take a picture of it for my next blog.
I am not sure when that will be because we will probably not have internet for the next week or so until the Friday after thanksgiving.
So I hope you all have a marvelous Thanksgiving.  I will have one and I am making my homemade pumpkin pie.   We will be in Yuma for the holiday.  Then Friday we will head into Tucson for a week, I will have internet there. And on Dec 4th I will fly back home.
My trip is winding down rapidly, but what a wonderful trip it has been.  I have not one complaint, other then maybe the lack of internet at a few places but even that isn’t really a hardship.
Until I can send you anther blog I will be having a great time and I will take pictures of what I hope will interest you.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Marie.
