I am still so awestruck I don’t know if I can write this blog and do it justice. The day started with a shuttle ride to the train for the 2 ½ hour ride up to the Grand Canyon.
At the train station at 9:00 am we were entertained with a small skit and shoot out while we waited for the train to get ready for us.
Far from hollywood but funny anywayWe rode on the Grand view car on the train where we met some great people and had a very enjoyable time.
We had entertainment by western singers on the way up and veiws of more ponderosa pines. We had a continental breakfast on the train with a couple of champagne hibiscus drinks.
I don’t know what words to use when we finally arrived at the grand canyon and walked up the stairs to see what we came to see.
I had tears in my eyes and was just flabagasted at what I saw at first glimpse.
Not a picture can even capture the beauty of this place. But I sure tried.
I can see why this place is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
I could fill up this blog with just pictures of this place but I won’t bore you with them but I do have one more that was taken by a passer by
My tour guide brother Mike and me.
On the train ride back we were held up by bank robbers. This was a hoot.
Long after being robbed all our monies we were saved by the Marshall.
The Marshall decided we were having way to much fun with the WooWoo's I had been drinking.
I will say that today was a pissa and a highlight of my trip so far. And I could stand up there for another 3 hours and or 3 days and never get bored with that view.
Good night all.. will try to blog earlier tomorrow.
One more shot for you all.
