Day 22; Saying good bye to Williams.Arizona

Today is Tuesday, after waving to the train we settled in for a very quiet day today of just vegging out enjoying the bright sunshine reading and sewing.
Today I will just sort of give you a recap of our time here. We entered Williams one week ago on Wednesday. We played tourist everyday and I learned a little  bit of history.
This town was named after a mountain man named Bill Williams.  They have a statue in the town common.
Bill Williams also has the nearby mountain named after him. Bill Williams Mountain.

The foliage on top made me feel like home foliage.  When up close to these yellow leaved trees they would pass as a white birch back home but they are called Aspen.  Sure could have fooled me.

Today I went and got a haircut long overdue in a very quaint little place called CowGirl U.  From the outside you would never know it was a hair salon but inside there was one hair washing station and two cutting stations.  The proprietor that cut my hair was very pleasant and she did a great job.
It has been our daily thing to go out morning and night to wave to the train heading to the Grand Canyon and we have done it faithfully with the exception of last night.  The train was late almost an hour.  We found out today that the reason for its tardiness is it hit a cow and the cow got stuck between a couple cars and broke a line of some sort.   No one was hurt and all ended well for these passengers.
So after 7 days here in the wonderful little town of Williams, Arizona tomorrow morning we will say goodbye as it’s time to go forth.

After we fuel up:

Williams, Arizona will be remembered forever with all its charm of Route 66,  The Grand Canyon, Bearizona  the trains and just the peacefulness of the past week and for the wonderful hosts of this great campground we have called home for the last 7 days.
Tonight as I wave for the last time to the train I will feel a bit sad but time moves on and so must we. With anticipation I await what lies ahead during the next 58 days until I fly home. But I will wave one last time

with a special goodbye to the train robbers that ride nightly back into town on the back of the train.
Thank you all for reading my blog I hope you have been enjoying it. Tomorrow will start a new trip a new town and new stories.
“Happy Trails to you, Until we meet again,”
And hopefully a new song in my head.
